Lefkada Island offers a wide range of short or daily trips. From boat trips to road trips, Lefkada has it all. Visit the picturesque, inland villages and experience the local, traditional way of living. Aghios Nikitas, Tsoukalades, Fryni, Karya, Lazarata, Aghios Petros, Athani, Vasiliki and Nidri are only some of the villages that one may visit, explore and connect with the locals, their customs and traditions.

An excellent idea for a short trip is to visit the waterfalls of Nidri. The road leading to the waterfalls ends at a certain point only to continue on foot for about 10 minutes, in order to get to a clearing surrounded by waterfalls. Depending on the season one may also swim in the clear water, given that the water level is high. On the way back, you could always rest at the canteen found in the beginning of the path and enjoy a refreshing juice or coffee.

A great way to explore the island and its inaccessible coasts is joining a boat trip and touring around Lefkada and the Ionian Islands’ complex. The trip usually includes a stop for swimming at magnificent beaches like Egremni or Porto Katsiki and a guided tour around the islets of Lefkada such as Prigiponisia: Meganisi, Scorpios of Onassis, Skorpidi and Madouri. Other itineraries include Cefalonia and Ithaka islands for swimming and lunch. One of the most impressive and visit worthy stops is Papanikoli cave at Meganisi, on your way back.
